Product Description
This listing is for a new, factory-packaged pail of CarbO2Lime (CarbO2Lime™) carbon dioxide absorbent (manufacturer part 55-01-0023). The product is a hard, irregular soda-lime granular absorbent comprised primarily of calcium hydroxide with a small amount of sodium hydroxide and a small amount of ethyl violet indicator dye. It is supplied in a five‑gallon plastic pail designed for pouring and is intended to refill reusable anesthesia absorber canisters. The material is self‑indicating: granules change from white/off‑white to purple as CO2 loading approaches exhaustion. Manufacturer documentation and product pages state the bulk pail yields approximately 15–17 refills of typical canisters. The pail is sold empty of canisters or machine-specific fittings — this SKU contains only the granular absorbent in the pail with pop‑up spout. Selling restrictions and hazards apply: this product is a medical CO2 absorbent and manufacturer labeling and regulatory listings indicate restricted sale (sale by or on the order of a physician in some jurisdictions); consult the product SDS before handling or storage. Storage recommendations, hazards, and first‑aid/handling instructions are provided in the manufacturer SDS. If you require specific canister compatibility (GE, Dräger, etc.), choose the matching cartridge/refill format (several CarbO2Lime cartridge and bag SKUs are available separately). Note: public datasheets contain a minor inconsistency in pail volume (some Allied documentation lists 21 L while one brochure table lists 19.0 L); confirm required volume on ordering if exact capacity matters.
