The ASO Flex-Hinge combines the proven technology of the ASO's strapping system with a built-in articulated plastic shell for superior ankle stabilization.
Internal Plastic Hinge
New plastic hinge material and design better contours to the anatomy and has greater durability. The Flex-Hinge's patented design works synergistically with the stabilizing straps to resist eversion and inversion of the ankle while also applying circumferential compression around the distal tibiofibular joint.
Stabilizing Straps
The stabilizing straps are now angled to better contour above the malleoli for enhanced comfort and control. Nylon stabilizing straps form a complete figure-eight to help stabilize the subtalar and talocrural joints.
CoolFlex Achilles Pad & Tongue
CoolFlex™ padding has been increased on the inside of the boot along the Achilles tendon to provide greater comfort. The shoe lace is now attached to the bottom of the tongue for ease of application.
Invisible Seam
For improved comfort, the seam is now positioned along the rear portion of the boot. There is no longer a seam under the foot.

- Inversion or eversion ankle sprains
- Syndesmotic ankle sprains (high ankle sprains)
- Medial or lateral ankle instability
- Subtalar joint instability
